Couponing is a sport now?

So last night I was watching a show called “extreme couponing”.

It’s basically about people who use coupons excessively, and save gratuitous amounts of money.

Now, I’ll give them their due respect for saving as much money as they do, while being able to provide for their families.

However, every person I saw on that show, had a stockpile of food.
Not just completely full cupboards, like… legit stockpiles.
Miniature grocery stores in their houses.

But what made me fucking rage, is the fact that they’re basically getting free food…. meanwhile
a) A lot of it is perishable and won’t get used in it’s allotted freshness time.
b) WHO THE FUCK NEEDS THAT MUCH FOOD?!

Like honestly, if I knew how to go about saving the kinds of money they do, and getting the amount of food they do, I would ship it off to other countries.
Here we are, in North America, with more food than we know what to do with…. and we fucking hoard it all.

What a bunch of gluttonous, greedy, self-righteous assholes we are.

"DON'T CALL ME KID!"

lately I've had so many kids flip shit when I call them 'kid'

Why the fuck is this?
It's a term of endearment
If I was going to call you immature, I'm ,more than smart enough to find better ways to do that.
Not to mention, I have the balls to be straight up.

If you're gonna be a whiny bitch and complain for me calling you something, then get the fuck out.
That's like someone walking up to me and saying "hey, man!"
Why in gods name would I snap?

they're not insulting me
they're not talking down to me in any way

Stop being a stupid bitch if I call you "kid" or "kiddo"

Cars that drive themselves made me a better driver!

So they're coming out with new cars than park themselves, eh?

In one commercial, a "car owner" claims that the companies car made him a better driver.

How does this make any sense?
You not having to do any work, and know how to do things yourself, thus having the knowledge of how to react should anything go wrong, makes you a better driver?
I guess I was wrong...

But seriously?
When did the world go from knowing how to do things for themselves, to letting technology do it for them?
If that's not the epitome of intellectual degradation, I don't know what is.
I mean.. I guess this is more of a rant about intellectual degradation, but still!
Why does each generation seemingly become more and more unintelligent?
I'm not expecting them to be geniuses or anything, but I'd hope they have an IQ higher than a peanut.
