Have you ever heard a teacher say "math is useful in every day life, no matter what job you have"
That is technically true
but when you give them an example of a job and ask how math fits in to that job, they give you the stupidest answers
like, I heard one kid say he wanted to be an underwater welder, and he asked the teacher how math fits in there
and the teacher was like "you have to know what angle to hold the welder at, and you have to know what temperature the metal melts at"
I just about pissed myself laughing
I mean, the teacher was right, but like, come on, give a more reasonable answer than that
thats my rant. enjoy.
